Google Is Testing a New Home Dashboard for Business Profiles

The Short Answer

Google has started inviting some businesses to Google Business Home, a beta dashboard that puts a Business Profile, Merchant Center, YouTube and Ads accounts in one place. Google’s help page calls it a closed beta for select business categories in the US and UK, so most owners will not see it yet.

What Changed

Barry Schwartz of Search Engine Roundtable reported it on October 22, 2026, after an email gave him access. His screenshots show a start screen, a home overview, and sections for Creative Lab, Posts, Reviews, performance, Locations, Settings, a Brand Kit and connected tools.

Google says the dashboard is built with Gemini models and will eventually offer insights across services, such as spotting a jump in demand and suggesting seasonal offers. Schwartz also points out that Google once had a management portal, dropped it in favor of managing profiles from Search, and is now bringing back a dashboard of its own.

The Mistake Worth Avoiding

Do not assume this changes your rankings. Nothing in the reporting says it does. It is a place to manage your profile, not a new ranking signal, so there is no reason to chase an invite or pay anyone who promises early access.

A few things worth doing while this rolls out:

The Takeaway

This is an early look at where Google wants business owners to manage things. For now it is a limited beta, so the useful move is to keep your profile accurate and your access list clean.
