Service-Area Businesses Face Extra Scrutiny
If you serve customers at their location instead of a storefront, plumbing, HVAC, cleaning, mobile repair, and similar trades, Google applies closer scrutiny to the address behind your profile. A home address is generally fine if you genuinely operate the business from there and don’t accept walk-in customers, but a virtual office, a mailbox rental, or an address you don’t actually work from is one of the more common triggers for suspension. Service-area businesses are also expected to hide their exact address publicly and define a service area instead, a setting worth double-checking even when suspension isn’t currently the problem.
