This is an upper estimate. Google says only one charge applies to follow-up calls from the same person within 15 days.

The starting numbers are examples. Replace them with your own. Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere.

How the numbers are worked out

Missed calls per month are your weekly calls multiplied by the share you miss, scaled to a month by multiplying by 52 and dividing by 12. Lost jobs are those missed calls multiplied by your close rate, which is the share of calls that would have turned into work. Lost revenue is lost jobs multiplied by your average job value.

This is an estimate, not a measurement. It assumes every missed call was a real customer and that none of them called back, so it leans high. Your own call log will tell you more. The call count in your Google Business Profile numbers is a good place to start, and your phone provider can show you which calls went unanswered.

If you run Local Services Ads

Since October 1, 2026, Google can charge for a missed call that comes in during your business hours and lasts more than 20 seconds. The second calculator multiplies those calls by your cost per lead. It does not account for the rule that only one charge applies to follow-up calls within 15 days, so read the result as the top of the range. The details are in Google Will Now Charge You for Missed Local Services Ads Calls.

Ways to cut missed calls

  • Make the hours listed on Google match the hours someone really answers.
  • Forward calls to a phone that gets carried, not a desk line nobody checks.
  • Use a live answering service for the hours you cannot cover.
  • Call back missed numbers the same day.
  • Look at your call counts every week so a drop gets noticed early.
